You wouldn’t look at me as a tall guy covered in tattoos and think that I make girls’ hair look pretty for a living

When asked why he wants to go on Love Island now, the 23-year-old replied: “At this point in my life I just want the opportunity to find a real connection with someone.

“I’ve been looking for that connection for quite some time but I’ve never really found it — I’m hoping I find that spark in the Villa.”

On what makes him a catch, Sam said: “My personality and chat.

“I’d like to think I’ve got lots of depth and substance, which should hopefully help me out when trying to find a connection.”

What does Sam Taylor do for a living?

Sam is a professional hairdresser who works in a salon in Sheffield.

The stylist also boasts over 4,000 followers on Instagram, where he regularly shares snaps of his incredible haircuts.

He warned his new fellow Islanders that when it comes to his profession, appearances might be deceiving: “I’d say not to judge a book by its cover because how I look compared to what I do for work might not necessarily add up.

“You wouldn’t look at me as a tall guy covered in tattoos and think that I make girls’ hair look pretty for a living.”

Sam is heading into the Love Island villa for season 11, which kicks off on June 3, 2024.

He will be joined by nine other singletons all looking for a steamy summer of love.

How do you watch Love Island 2024?

The launch show will start at 9pm on ITV2 on June 3, 2024.

Episodes will then continue at the same time from Sunday to Friday.

On Saturdays a highlights show is aired instead of the main programme.

The Sun previously revealed how Love Island bosses are planning a huge shake-up for the launch night.

ITV is going to air the dating show simultaneously across ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX for the first time.

A source said: “ITV want to throw their weight behind Love Island and make sure it has a big, glitzy moment when the 11th series kicks off next month.

“Showing it across every channel means creating what they hope will be a big TV moment. It shows there is still a real commitment to the format even nine years on.”
