Who left Love Island last night?

NO ONE is ever safe in the villa, with the next Love Island dumping always just around the corner.

With just one show remaining, the latest eviction saw another TWO Islanders sent packing on the eve of the grand finale.

Samantha took a brutal swipe at Joey Essex

Who left Love Island last night?

On Sunday, July 28, 2024, two fan favourites were given their marching orders.

Maya dropped a huge bombshell on the Islanders, welcoming back the past Islanders to the villa.

The host then announced: “Your future on Love Island will be decided by some very familiar faces.”

Led out by the first person dumped from this series, Sam — who was followed by Patsy, Munveer, Samantha, Omar, Harriett, Ronnie, Uma, Wil, Jess, Hugo, Grace and Reuben — they all gathered around the fire pit.

They were given the power to decide which couple they think should be dumped from the show, choosing Joey and Jessy.

After Samantha was sent packing when Joey decided to recouple with Grace earlier in the series, she finally put him in his place, saying: “It is a really hard decision, I haven’t met half of you because I was only here for two weeks.

“I do think he has a lot of opinions on everyone else’s relationship but as soon as it comes to his own he bites the bullet a bit doesn’t he.

“Personally, I don’t think that this person deserves to be in the final so I’m picking Jess and Joey.”

When Maya asked Joey if he wanted to respond, he said: “It was nothing ever personal on my end, there’s no hard feelings.

“I was sad when she left, she might feel different about me.”

Samantha responded furiously: “You were lying to my face for two weeks.”

Sticking up for himself, Joey said: “We were in a friendship couple.”

Samantha hit back with: “We went on a date, we weren’t in a friendship couple, I don’t know why you’re saying that.”

But the Essex lad then brutally told her: “There was never a spark there.”

What did the dumped Love Island stars say after leaving the villa?

After the pair left the Love Island villa, they shared their own experiences of being on the show.

Joey and Jessy Potts were sent packing on Sunday June 28

On how he felt to be leaving the villa, Joey told ITV: “It feels good to be leaving, I feel like I had an amazing run in there, went through the full cycle of emotions you get in the Villa, and if you have to leave, you might as well go out with a bang…

“It’s my birthday on Monday so feels like I’m going out at a good time.

In relation to the former Islanders voting him and Jessy off, he admitted: “I said during the compatibility vote that I had expected Jessy and I would get votes, so no it didn’t really come as a surprise, and I never expected to win the show.”

And on being Love Island’s first celebrity bombshell, he said: “I literally kept it top secret, which was hard because it meant keeping it from all of my close friends and family.

“But I’m glad it paid off, went to plan and surprised everyone in the way it did. From what I’ve been told since leaving, it was quite a moment.”

Asked how she feels after being dumped from the show, Jessy said: “I’m gutted to have left because I was loving life in the Villa but I’m very happy to be leaving with Joey having made memories that will last a lifetime and friendships I’m looking forward to continuing on the outside.

“Maya came in and surprised us with some of the ex Islanders and each one of them had to vote for who they thought was the least compatible couple and Joey and I got the most votes.

“We almost knew it was coming as a few of them had a grudge towards Joey.”

And on what attracted her to Joey in the first place, she opened up: “Joey is the most kindhearted person and whether or not that translates because he often gets himself into trouble he is very caring, kind and thoughtful.

“I could see past the persona and I like him for who he is which is all that matters to me.”

Who is still in the Love Island villa?

Love Island kicked off with 11 sexy singletons.

The line-up increases and decreases as more bombshells join, and other Islanders get kicked off.
