Her career on the BBC has made her comfortable in front of a camera and now she is a household name.

Here’s everything you need to know about Cherry.

Aristocratic upbringing

Cherry was born in 1979 and comes from an aristocratic background.

Her father Nicholas is the son of a 4th Baronet and she descends from the Chadwyck-Healey baronets

A baronet is the lowest ranking British hereditary title, just below a baron.

Cherry attended Cheltenham Ladies’ College, before completing a degree in drama.

She then went on to write for several big magazines, including Grazia, as well as making a name for herself on TV.

TV Documentarist

Cherry is best known for her stint on BBC, where she made documentaries that tackled modern life’s problems.

They covered topics from money to anti-aging products to childbirth and sex.

She was reintroduced to even more fans when she presented Inside the Factory on BBC2.

Cherry presented the hit show for eight series, alongside Masterchef icon Gregg Wallace.

Cherry Healey’s life off-screen

Cherry married her long-term partner Roly Allen in 2010, but they later divorced in 2016.

They have two children together, Coco, born in 2009 and Edward born in 2013.

Speaking about her divorce to Xpose.ie, Cherry revealed: “At the time, two years ago, it was awful.

“We’d been married for six years and together for eight and suddenly it felt like throwing my life up in the air and waiting to see where it landed.

“It involves so much sorting out of finances, a home; so you can’t crumble.

“You have to be strong, yet inside your heart’s breaking and it’s intensely painful.”
