EMMERDALE’S Lydia Dingle is being re-traumatised by rapist Craig all over again with the brute turning up at her home and forcing her to host him for dinner.
The cleaner – who is played by actress Karen Blick in the ITV soap – was brutally raped last week by boss and old flame Craig.
He forced himself on her in the office where they work and left her traumatised.
Lydia has been internalising all of her trauma and pain and struggled to keep it together in front of her family.
Desperate to be alone she went to Home Farm to work but when Sam found her he kept trying to talk to her.
She ordered him out and Kim Tate realised something was wrong and Lydia talked her way out of it insisting she was ill and needed to go home.
As she lay on the sofa back at Wishing Well, finally alone, Lydia heard someone knock on the door and just shouted that it was open.
However she was terrified when Craig walked in to “check on her”.
Trying to gaslight her that they had simply slept together and he hadn’t raped her, Lydia backed herself into the kitchen and tried to hide from him.
He even told her that she made a mistake with their son Toby and that it was basically all her fault.
“Our little thing was a shock to both of us, I think,” he said.
“It’s best forgotten because what you and Sam have is important. I only want you to be happy. So let’s forget our missteps, and let’s start again as good old friends.”
She agreed to get rid of him but before he could go Sam arrived and Lydia was forced to endure a meal with her rapist, leaving her re-traumatised again.
Fans are seriously worried about her.
