RYAN Reynolds found fame as an actor but has now turned his hand to football.
His takeover of Wrexham FC may sound like a bizarre story to many, but this isn’t the first business venture for the star, who also has a successful history of investing.
Who is Ryan Reynolds?
Ryan is a Canadian-American actor who started out acting in Canadian sitcoms, like Hillside and Two Guys and a Girl.
Since then, he has become a world-famous actor – most recognisable for his lead role in superhero film Deadpool.
The star has also showed his skills as an entrepreneur with some successful business ventures.
Ryan was married to Scarlett Johansson from 2008 to 2011.
After they split, Ryan married actress Blake Lively in 2012, and the pair now have four daughters together.

Actor Ryan has an estimated net worth of $350 million (£273 million).
Reynolds was the second-highest-paid actor of 2020, according to Forbes.
It reported that Reynolds earned $20 million each from Netflix for “Six Underground” and “Red Notice”.
Reynolds was also an owner of gin brand, Aviation American, which was bought out by drinks giant Diageo in August 2020.
He also has an ownership stake in Mint Mobile, a wireless service provider.
Why is he buying Wrexham football club?
On November 16, 2020 it was announced that Ryan Reynolds and producer Rob McElhenney were buying Wrexham football club.
The actor said his aim is to make Wrexham a “global force” – while making a Netflix-style documentary about their takeover and the club’s predicted success story.
On plans for a documentary McElhenney, who created the TV series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, said: “That’s happened. We’re documenting it.
“We should be thinking about Wrexham the way Man U thinks about Man U. Engage in club, communities. What a great way to do it.”
Reynolds said: “It’s the storytelling that gets me. What the player overcame to get on the pitch.
“We’re interested in that in every level. We can attract great players too.
“We’re excited to have some documentation – and no one has to speak (in it) if they don’t want to.”
The Wrexham Supporters Trust (WST) – who have owned the club since 2011 – have overwhelmingly voted in favour of the proposed takeover.
Of over 2,000 eligible to cast their vote, only 26 were against the proposal.
A staggering 1,809 voted in favour of Reynolds and McElhenney, with just nine abstaining.

Needing 75 per cent of the trust’s approval, the A-list duo racked up 98.6 per cent from a turnout of 91.5 per cent and will now become the club’s new owners.
In a spoof video ‘advertising’ Ifor Williams trailers on Twitter, Reynolds and McElhenney said: “To the Wrexham Supporters Trust, thank you for your faith and trust in us.
“We’re humbled and we’re already getting to work. Oh s***…. this is really happening.”
