Baby seriously injured in hospital after falling from second-floor window

A ONE-year-old baby boy was flown to hospital after falling from a second-floor window.

The baby boy suffered serious injuries after reportedly plunging from the second floor of a property shortly after 10.30am this morning in Burnley, Lancs.

The air ambulance landed at the scene on Heap Street and flew the tot to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

An investigation has been launched by Lancashire Constabulary and police are appealing for witnesses and to locate several people who stopped to help the baby before crews arrived.

DI Mark Saunders said: “First and foremost, my thoughts are with the family at this distressing time.

“We know following the incident, there were people who thankfully stopped to help.

“We’re really keen to identify those individuals and speak to them to find out what happened”
