A brand new name is on the Manchester United starting line-up – but it is one fans have craved for some time.
Kobbie Mainoo, 18, has been given a shock call up to start in the Premier League for United’s trip to fiery Goodison Park.

Kobbie Mainoo is a teenage Manchester United midfielder who wears the No 37 shirt.
He has been at United since the age of nine.
The Stockport-born youngster was a key member of a successful FA Youth Cup-winning side in 2022, and was rewarded with his first professional contract in May of that year.
The following season he continued to progress for the Red Devils Under-18’s and Under-21’s, and made his senior debut in a 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Charlton in January 2023, playing 30 minutes.

Erik ten Hag has been impressed and is now beginning to integrate the teenager into first-team more often.
Mainoo suffered an injury in the US in pre-season[/caption]Mainoo starred for the club in pre-season against Arsenal before suffering an injury against Real Madrid, which has kept him out for the first part of this season.
The teenager has represented England internally at under-17, under-18 and under-19 levels, and is also eligible to play for Ghana.
