Who is Brad Wale from Deal or No Deal?

BRAD WALE, who lives with Motor Neurone disease, has been inundated with support since appearing on Deal or No Deal.

But just how much money has been raised for the Shropshire man since appearing on the show?

06/12/2023 - LONDON - More than £81,000 has been raised for a Deal or No Deal contestant who shared his battle with a life-limiting condition. Wolverhampton-born Brad Wale, who has Motor Neurone Disease, told host Stephen Mulhern he would attempt to fulfil his bucket list if he won. But after winning just £5 in the revived ITV gameshow, fellow contestant Rochelle Brown, 30, launched a fundraiser to help him achieve his dream. Within days, thousands of donations poured in, smashing the £20,000 target. Mr Wale, who now lives in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, told Radio WM: "I genuinely can't believe it, I'm lost for words, it's so overwhelming. "I left with £5 and that was it, I was content with that I accepted it so I was never expecting something like this. "I feel honoured, blessed and guilty at the same time." MND is an uncommon condition that affects the brain and nerves and causes weakness that worsens over time. The NHS said there was currently no cure for MND, however treatment can help to reduce the impact on a patient's day to day life..PICTURE: UNPIXS 06/12/2023
Brad didn’t get what he wanted on Deal or No Deal, but a GoFundMe page has raised thousands for him.

Who is Brad Wale?

Brad Wale was born in Wolverhampton but now lives in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, and was born in 1994.

In November 2023, Brad appeared on Channel 4’s Deal or No Deal, and spoke of his battle with Motor Neurone Disease (MND)

Brad said that he was appearing on the show to try and raise some money, to tick things off his bucket list

Speaking with the show’s host, Stephen Mulhern, Brad said: “Last year, things changed quite a lot for me really, I was diagnosed with motor neurone disease…”

Brad welled up as he discussed the diagnosis:  “I never cry when I talk about it normally… So the prognosis isn’t really that great.

“So I’d put it towards my bucket list, go and see different places around the world, and give my family and partner some money before.”

Brad’s mum was watching in the crowd.

How much did Brad win on Deal or No Deal?

Brad was hoping to win big on the Channel 4 game show, but on the day, nothing went his way.

Although many of the ‘big reds’ — £25,000, £50,000 and £75,000 — were still in play, Brad went away with just £5, leaving him, and everyone else, devastated.

His co-player and friend, Rochelle, embraced Brad after the disappointing finale.

Writing on the GoFundMe page she set up for Brad, Rochelle said the Deal or No Deal result was “devastating”.

How much has been raised for Brad since Deal or no Deal?

After Brad’s disappointing turn on Deal or No Deal, where he came away with next to nothing, his friend Rochelle set up a GoFundMe page.

The donation page, called Help Brad get his bucket list, has raised over £106,000 at the time of writing, and the figure is still rising.

Over 9,000 people have donated to the cause.

Brad has since appeared on This Morning, breaking down as he discussed his diagnosis and the kindness he has received since appearing on the show.

Posting on Facebook in response to the donations, Brad wrote:

“When Rochelle Brown set this fundraiser up I just thought it would be something my family donated too.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I expect what it’s actually reached.

“There’s nothing I will be able to say that will ever show you just how grateful I am for all of it.”

Brad’s pal Rochelle also posted an update to the GoFundMe page, writing:

“I just want to say a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are all incredible.

“You have changed Brad’s life and I will never be able to say thank you enough.”

Who is Brad Wale’s partner?

Details of Brad’s relationship status are not confirmed.

On Deal or No Deal, he hinted that he would like to win some money to give to his “partner”, and family
