THE MURDER of Clarence Avant’s wife, Jacqueline Avant, shocked their Beverly Hills neighborhood in December 2021.
Police later identified Los Angeles resident Aariel Maynor as the prime suspect, and now many want to know where he is now.

Aariel Maynor is a convicted killer from Los Angeles, California, who has an extensive criminal record.
Prior to being charged with Jacqueline Avant’s murder, he spent five years in prison after pleading guilty to a robbery charge in 2013, according to the New York Post.
He also pleaded no contest to a domestic violence incident in July 2013 and was convicted of grand theft in 2010, The Post notes.
Maynor was released on parole on September 1, 2021, and then, three months later, he broke into the Avants Beverly Hills home and gunned down Jacqueline with a rifle.
Police responded to a home invasion call at 2.30am and found Jacqueline “cradling her head on the floor,” according to The New York Times.
She was then pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Where is Aariel Maynor now?
Five months after Jacqueline was killed, Maynor pleaded guilty to first-degree murder, attempted murder, firearm possession, and residential burglary.
As a result, he was sentenced to 190 years in prison.
“Today marks the end of a tragic case that rocked our community,” Los Angeles district attorney George Gascón said in a statement.
“Because of a completely senseless act, Los Angeles lost Jacqueline Avant, a community leader and philanthropist.”
At the time of the murder, Maynor was on parole, and because of California’s three-strikes law for repeat offenders, he was able to receive a lengthy sentence, The Times notes.
Maynor will not be eligible for parole again, meaning he will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
