PLAYSTATION’s Days of Play sale is over and the PS Stars loyalty scheme is still down, but players can still grab free items.
PlayStation is giving away freebies with the cute PS5 mascot to all PSN users, and no subscription is required to claim the goodies.
As PlayStation Stars is still experiencing issues, players have not been able to redeem their Days of Play 2024 digital collectible yet.
The reward was part of the Days of Play Community Challenge, which required players to engage in several collective activities.
These included playing a certain number of unique games during the campaign, earning a combined number of trophies, and playing Astro’s Playroom for a specific number of hours.
Due to the PS Stars outage, players are still unable to receive the collectible, even though the community has completed the challenges.
As a token of gratitude to all participants, PlayStation is now giving away four free avatars with Astro Bot to all PSN account holders.
No PlayStation Plus subscription is required to receive the rewards.
You can claim the freebies by logging into your console and redeeming one of the following codes, based on your PSN account’s region:
- Europe, Australia, and New Zealand: JPFQ-66LN-QGLJ
- North America: MKHX-PJGL-HQA2
- Japan: 4GDE-JE36-4L6E
- South Korea: 8M8N-HE7E-A8XP
- Hong Kong: 7M3H-D6JE-JDAJ
To enter the code, navigate to the PlayStation Store on your PS4 or PS5 console, select the ‘More’ option, shown as three dots in the upper right corner of the screen, and then ‘Redeem Code’.
All players have until July 11, 2024, to claim the free reward.
In its announcement about the Astro Bot avatars, PlayStation once again acknowledged the ongoing issue with the PS Stars programme, reassuring players that it’s actively working on a solution.
The console maker said it will share more information on redeeming the Days of Play Community Celebration Digital Collectible as soon as it’s available, without giving a firm deadline.
PlayStation Stars has been inaccessible to players for more than three weeks now.
