TV PRESENTER and former England cricketer Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff is a doting dad behind the scenes.
Here’s all we know about the family of the much-loved star as his new series hits TV screens.
Who are Freddie Flintoff’s children?
Freddie married Rachael Wools in March 2005, and they’ve had four children together.
The couple met at a cricket ground in Birmingham, where Rachael was promoting her events company.
The family lives together in Greater Manchester, not far from Freddie’s home town of Preston, in a house they bought from football star Phil Neville in 2021.
Holly Flintoff
Holly was born in 2004, just before her dad made sports history with England’s Ashes win over Australia in 2005.
At the time, Freddie was away a lot as he was at the height of his cricketing career.
“Holly is a complete daddy’s girl, and when Andrew’s around, I never get a look-in,” Rachael said at the time.
“She misses him when he’s away, but she makes up for it by carrying around a photograph of him – when she has a tea party for her dolls, she puts the picture on a chair, so daddy can be there too.
“He misses the children a lot, and foreign tours aren’t nearly as exotic as they sound.”
Corey Flintoff
Born just over a year after Holly, Corey is the second oldest of Freddie and Rachael’s children and has followed in the footsteps of his dad.
He’s become a cricketer, and has already overtaken his dad as the record-holder for Lancashire seconds.
In December 2022, Corey broke his silence after his dad was airlifted to hospital after a horror crash.
The Top Gear star’s son said his dad is “lucky to be alive” following the terrifying high-speed smash.
The accident happened whilst he was shooting an episode of Top Gear at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome.
Rocky Flintoff
Rocky was their third child, born in 2008.
Much like his older brother, Rocky is also a keen cricketer and is fast becoming one to watch.
He managed a dramatic century for England’s Under-19s at just 16 years old.
Preston Flintoff
The couple’s fourth child may have come as a welcome surprise after the Top Gear host previously admitted that he didn’t think he and Rachael would have any more children after Rocky.
In 2016, he told The Sun: “We thought about it. I originally wanted five but you have three and that felt like enough. I couldn’t go back to the nappy stage now.”
He was named Preston after the Lancashire town where Freddie grew up.
