Who is Larry Wheels?

Larry “Wheels” Williams, born December 3, 1994, is an American multi-strength sports athlete.

He has dabbled in everything from powerlifting and strongman to arm wrestling and bodybuilding over the years.

In an interview with Muscle and Fitness, Williams admitted that he turned to exercise at a young age to combat boredom and bullying.

The athlete described himself as a young, awkward kid who was pushed into the gym after going through a challenging move – relocating to the island of St Martin from New York City when he was 12 years old.

Williams, who said he had real trouble connecting with native teens on the island and spent days with nothing to do, decided to kill two birds with one stone and get stronger through weightlifting.

He would do push-ups, sit-ups, and pullups, as well as lift homemade weights, before riding his bike until he was exhausted – as he had to be 16 in order to use the gyms on the island.

And when he was finally allowed to enter the gym, he was more than ready.

Discussing this period of his life, Williams said: ”I realised at age 17, I was already the strongest guy in the gym.

“I didn’t want to let this talent go to waste. I started asking myself: ‘What am I here on Earth for?

“I wasn’t good at academics. I hated school. I hated studying. I hated doing homework.

“My heart always lay in getting strong at the gym. That was all I was passionate about.”

Williams’ fitness journey has seen the strongman enjoy a ton of first-place victories at powerlifting and heavy lifting competitions across the country.

The self-made athlete completes chest workouts, back workouts, shoulder workouts, leg workouts and arms workouts.

When it comes to food, Larry Wheels follows a strict diet in order to maintain his strength and muscles.

According to reports, he eats around eight to nine meals a day – depending on his fitness goals.

When his goal is to gain weight he will up his calorie and fat intake, where as when he aims to reduce, he lowers the amount of calories and fat consumed.

His diet includes foods such as steak, beef, rice, avocados and high-protein snacks.
