Who is Dan Biggar’s wife Alex?
Alex Biggar (formerly Cummings) and Dan have been together since they were attending school.
She currently runs a successful cake business – Biggar Bakes – and was previously a primary school teacher.
The couple finally tied the knot in 2016.
Ahead of the 2021 Lions Tour, Biggar said his wife has always been his biggest fan, and stuffed his bag with letters to motivate him ahead of the trip to South Africa.
Biggar wrote for the Mail on Sunday before his departure: “My wife will be the first person I call if I make the team.
“When I left home for the camp in Jersey, she slipped a bunch of envelopes in my bag.
“They were all labelled with different things like, “If selection doesn’t go well, open this”, ‘If you’re feeling homesick, open this”, “If training went badly, open this”.

“When I’m in training and game mode on a Saturday afternoon, there is still nothing more important than wanting to win every moment, be the best you can be and be successful.
“But now when I come in through the door after training or a game, I’m able to completely switch off as opposed to sitting up worrying, rewatching the game.
“I’ve really just enjoyed coming home, switching off and putting my focus on my family because I don’t spend a huge amount of time with them.
“That’s the key for me, especially in the last couple of years.
“Alex has been brilliant.
“Like with all the rugby boys, the partners and parents do a heck of a lot more than we do. They can sometimes get overlooked.”

Does Dan Biggar have any children?
Yes. Dan Biggar has one son called James. And he said he helps to take the pressure off him going into internationals.
Biggar commented before the Lions Tour: “It’s weirdly reassuring to know that my son couldn’t give a monkey’s if I make the Test team.
“All he wants to know is that I’ll take him swimming when I get home next month.”
He added that he will talk to James more about his rugby career when he is older, commenting: “I’m going to keep all the bad press and there is plenty of it!”

“It’s been quite difficult with Covid because games, particularly international ones, used to be a real family day out for lots of people.
“As he’s getting a little bit older and a bit more aware, it’s been sad that we’ve not been able to keep doing that.
“We played Wasps a couple of weeks ago with Northampton and he came to that with my wife Alex.
“That will have been the first game he’s been to since everything kicked off with Covid.
“I suppose when I finish or he gets old enough to realise, it’ll be quite nice to show him what I achieved.
“I really want him to be quite independent though and I don’t want to push rugby on him. I want him to be able to choose what he wants to do.”
