The ‘Yellow Pillow’ is a game-changer when it comes to a good night’s sleep for some
WE ALL have our own rituals that help us go down for a peaceful slumber.
But one man has sparked controversy online after revealing the only way he can sleep is using the ‘Yellow Pillow.’
Some men reckon the yellow pillow is the secret to a good night’s sleep[/caption]Plenty of men have a yellow pillow, thinning over time and turning a garish yellow colour thanks to a build up of sweat and never being washed.
It might be extremely nasty to think about what’s lurking inside the pillow – but apparently it’s the key to a good night’s sleep after years of conforming to your body shape.
And while we’d hope you’d never be expect to sleep on someone else’s – many men claim it’s the perfect way to get you to the land of nod.
Women on the other hand, seem disgusted by the prospect and didn’t hold back from telling the young man so.
A young man who goes by the name of Cam on social media posted a picture of a yellow pillow.
Accompanying the image he wrote that his girlfriend was ‘mad at me’ for the discovery.
However, he was sure men would back him up on the ‘magic’ of the ‘Yellow Pillow.’
Cam added that his trusted pillow ‘bestows upon me the most peaceful slumber’.
Fortunately for the young bloke, many people came to his and his pillows defence.
One wrote to say they ‘legit haven’t rested comfortably since’ getting rid of their loyal Yellow Pillow
While another said their ‘life has been a downward spiral’ since they got rid of theirs.
A third penned that part of being a man was ‘using the same pillow since the age of 10 and never washing it’.
Although he found a community of men to back him up, many women took to the comments in horror.
One woman said the picture of the yellow pillow was ‘just like my husband’s pillow’ and revealed that ‘he calls it seasoning’ followed up by a vomiting emoji.
Someone else said: “Men will s**t on women for believing in astrology but then believe they can only sleep because their pillow is f**king nasty.”
While one added: “the cast iron pan of being a sleepyhead”, there were many who didn’t want to stick their head in the cushiony equivalent of a cast iron pan when they slept.
“If you go to his house and see these leave,” another woman wrote.
Cam later told NBC News he found the whole debate amusing and that he’d switched out his pillowcase once a year – but his girlfriend has since convinced him to stop using it and it has been safely ‘tucked away into storage’.
