IN the most unsurprising news of this week, Kylie Minogue’s first Las Vegas residency sold out in minutes.
But what came as a shock to fans was the struggle to get their hands on the tickets for the shows at the Voltaire club in the Venetian Hotel – as the ticketing websites crashed with the overwhelming demand.
Given that it sold out so fast, I think it’s safe to say there are plenty of Kylie fans still desperate to get to Sin City[/caption]Insiders revealed how the Aussie pop star’s team pulled out all the stops to get the sales back on track after the site struggled to cope.
A source said: “Everyone knew the demand for tickets would be extraordinarily large but no one expected the websites to crash.
“It was a massive feat behind the scenes to get everything back up and running.”
Given that it sold out so fast, I think it’s safe to say there are plenty of Kylie fans still desperate to get to Sin City. So there’s only one thing for it – please, Kylie, put on more shows.
Her Vegas spectacular has been three years in the planning, with the Spinning Around singer secretly watching Lady Gaga and John Legend’s shows there to get inspiration.
Kylie told The Sun: “I think if I had done this earlier in my career it might have been too early.
“If I’d done it too much later I’d regret it being too much later.
“Right now, in my life, in my career, it feels like the perfect point, the perfect moment where I’ve got the catalogue, I’ve got the history, but I’ve also got the drive and the ambition to go so much further.”
Look what you made me blue
TAYLOR SWIFT turned all of her outfits blue during her latest show, as she confirmed 1989 will be her next album to be re-recorded and released.
She was on stage in dresses to match the cover art at her sixth consecutive show in Los Angeles on Thursday when she announced that it will be out on October 27 with five previously unheard tracks – which she promised are out of this world.
Tweeting after the show, she wrote: ‘The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th’[/caption]The hit album, first released back in 2014, helped turn her into a superstar with massive hits including Shake It Off, Style, Bad Blood and Blank Space.
She is re-recording her back catalogue after the rights were bought without her permission.
Tweeting after the show, she wrote: “The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th.
“To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!”
Meghan Markle attended her show on Tuesday, so I’ve no doubt she will be grabbing a copy as soon as it’s out.
Now it’s Madame AndreX
MADONNA must be feeling better again because she’s back to her normal self posting random photos on Instagram.
The Madame X artist shared this snap of herself on the throne, so I’ve suggested some songs which could soundtrack her trip to the loo.

But in good news for pop fans she is getting stronger by the day and is set to announce new dates imminently.
She tweeted: “I’m happy to report that the re-routed tour schedule will be coming in the next few days! See you soon for a well deserved celebration.”

THINGS have gone from bad to worse for Lizzo after three dancers filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against her.
The lawyers who filed the case have said they are now talking to six other people who have made similar allegations.
Attorney Ron Zambrano said the original three accusers “have bravely spoken out and shared their experiences, opening the door for others to feel empowered to do the same”.
Lizzo has denied the claims, branding them “outrageous”.
Nadine’s Run at the chart
NEW pop star Nadine leads today’s music releases with her dancehall-inspired single Don’t Run, which she co-wrote with Jess Glynne.
Nadine said: “Don’t Run is about facing and accepting a situation that you might not want to admit is happening. Acknowledging and accepting the anxiety, the fear, the hurt and that ball of twisted energy that sits in your stomach.”

It is a remix of the Ferrari Horses from 2020, and has been used on TikTok by the likes of Zara Larsson and Emily Ratajkowski.
Comic Rebel left in stitches
REBEL WILSON needed stitches in her face after being whacked in the face with a gun on the set of her new movie.
The Aussie actress has revealed she was shooting her film Bride Hard last week when the dramatic incident happened.
In a video posted on Instagram, she said: “The stitches have dissolved out from my on set accident last week.
“I was shooting an independent movie in Savannah, Georgia.
“In the middle of a night shoot, my last scene of the movie, so I’d done all these kick-ass fight sequences and then just in the last one I got hit in the face with the butt of a gun.
“So it was a complete accident and was such a shock. But luckily I’m healing very well, so I wanted to say thank you for everybody’s well wishes.”
