DANCING On Ice is back on ITV with a brand new series that’s set to keep viewers entertained.
The seventeenth series of Dancing on Ice began airing on on 12 January 2025 with 12 celebrities taking to the ice to perform live dazzling routines.

Judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill, and Christopher Dean were tasked with sending another celebrity home on on Sunday January 19, 2025.
Following all of the performances, it was revealed that Chelsee Healey and Josh Jones would be in the skate off.
After receiving the fewest votes it was announced that Healey would be leaving the competition.
Chelsee Healey
Being a soap star Chelsee is no stranger to the camera[/caption]Chelsee Healey is an English actress.
She is known for portraying the roles of Janeece Bryant in the BBC school-based drama series Waterloo Road, Honey Wright in the BBC medical drama series Casualty and Goldie McQueen in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks.
The soap star said she had the “best time” on the ice skating competition show.
After host Holly Willoughby delivered the news, the Casualty star praised her dance partner and said she “couldn’t have done it without him”.
She added: “I feel, personally, there’s been a lot going on with me that I’ve been struggling with, so I couldn’t completely focus.
“I’m just really grateful, I’ve had the best time.”

Ferne McCann
TOWIE star has taken to the ice well so far but she’ll need to keep the judges impressed[/caption]Ferne McCann is an English television personality.
She’s best known for featuring on The Only Way Is Essex, but many viewers will recognise Ferne from the fifteenth series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
Ferne told GMB: “I’m so excited, it’s going to be a huge challenge but I’m excited for the glitz and glamour of the show.”
Ferne says her children, Sunday and Finty will be watching in support: “It’s such a family show and all the glitz and glam and I know Sunday is going to love being a part of it. She is very protective and is worried about me falling over but I think she’s going to love watching me on the ice.”
Ferne will be skating with Brendyn Hatfield.
Holly is back to host Dancing On Ice 2025[/caption]Mollie Pearce
Molly didn’t win The Traitors but hopes to win Dancing On Ice 2025[/caption]Mollie Pearce is TV personality and model.
Many viewers will remember Mollie as a runner-up on the second series of The Traitors in 2024.
Mollie told Lorraine Kelly that the friends she made from the Traitors will be cheering her on.
She said: My mum is going to be there every week without fail and I think my Traitors family will also be supporting from the sidelines. Jasmine, Dianne, Zack and Ross will definitely be cheering me on from the front row for sure.”
Mollie is skating with Colin Grafton.
Sir Steve Redgrave
Trying his hand at something new Sir Steve takes up ice-skating following his retirement[/caption]Sir Steven Redgrave is a British retired rower.
He is a well-decorated former Olympian who has won gold medals at five consecutive Olympic Games between 1984 and 2000.
Talking to This Morning, Steve said: “It’s like going back to being an athlete again, I’ve been competing for most of my life.”
“To call yourself a skater you’ve got to be able to do crossovers, I’ve done a little bit of skating I did some short track skating ten years ago and that was one thing I never managed to do.
“I could get around the rink alright and in relatively good speed but I couldn’t call myself a skater.
“I suppose that’s the challenge to me, I’m starting from a very low level, probably lower than everybody else due to my age, I don’t bounce as much as I used to!”
Sam Aston
The Corrie star wants to be known for something other than his soap character ‘Chesney’[/caption]Sam Aston is an English actor.
He is well-known for playing the role of Chesney Brown on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street since he was just ten years old.
Talking to This Morning, Sam said: “I’m nervous but excited to get going. It will be to be nice for the public to see me for me rather than Chesney.
“I’ve been in Corrie a long time so everyone is used to that whereas this is something out of the ordinary for me and a massive show so everyone is excited for me.
Sam says his son would love to join him: “My son is four and really excited about it, I think he wants to come on board and be my dancing partner!”

Charlie Brooks
Eastender Charlie is all for the glitz and glamour of Dancing On Ice this season[/caption]Charlene ‘Charlie’ Brooks is an English actress.
She’s best known for her role of Janine Butcher in the BBC soap opera EastEnders.
Brooks has also performed in British television shows The Bill, Wired and Bleak House.
Speaking on Loose Women Charlie said: “All I want to do is enjoy it and try not to break my leg.
“I’m looking forward to getting a nice strong fit body and the glitz and glamour of it all.
I’m more low-key these days so to have an excuse to dress up and dance whilst my family comes down and watch will be fun. I’m really looking forward to those elements of it.
“If I can learn to do a little twizzle on the ice I’ll be very pleased”, she confessed.
Charlie Brooks is skating with Eric Radford.
Josh Jones
Joshua ‘Josh’ Jones is an English stand-up comedian.
He began his career working men’s clubs, and went on to front his own comedy tours, including Waste of Space and Gobsmacked.
Josh skated with Tippy Packard.
Anton Ferdinand
Anton Ferdinand is an English former footballer.
He was a product of the West Ham United academy who went on to play for their senior team, as well as Queens Park Rangers, Sunderland and Reading.
Talking to talkSPORT Radio, Anton said: “I decided to sign up for the show because it’s a challenge first and foremost.
“I’m in a new phase of my life since retiring from football and the one of the things I’ve missed about playing is the structure it gives you.
The father of two continued: I’m also doing it for my daughter because she loves dance and performing arts. My son always had my football to shout about so this will give my daughter and me something to share.”
Anton Ferdinand is skating with Annette Dytrt.
Dan Edgar
TOWIE star brings his cheeky humour to the ice[/caption]Daniel ‘Dan’ Michael Edgar is an English television personality.
Fans will recognise Dan for his appearance as on the ITVBe reality series The Only Way Is Essex since 2015.
The TOWIE star told Heart Radio: “I like to think I can ice skate a little bit but I’m a terrible dancer so that bit is going to need some work.”
“Joey Essex is a very good friend of mine who has previously done the show and he’s given me a bit of advice. Hopefully, he will be able to come down and support me, I know Diags and Lockie will be there for sure.
He confessed: “I don’t know about the TOWIE girls as I think I may have burnt my bridges with them!”
Dan is skating with Vanessa James.
Chris Taylor
Love Island star didn’t have no luck on a dating competition so is trying Dancing On Ice instead[/caption]Christopher ‘Chris’ Taylor is an English television personality.
He was an islander on the fifth series of Love Island and again in the spin-off Love Island All-Stars.
Before joining the show Chris admitted:
Chris said: “I’m somewhere between absolutely terrified and very excited and I keep flitting between the two quite aggressively throughout the day.
“I can skate but my dad got the snake hips, unfortunately, I didn’t inherit that genetically from him.
He continued: “I’ve had very little success with the dating shows I’ve been involved with recently so I just thought you know what, let’s try something that is the polar opposite of dating to see if I can have some success with that. It appears to be more dangerous than dating but who knows, I could be good at it if I put my mind to it.”

Michaela Strachan
Betting on herself Michaela shows viewers she’s up to the challenge[/caption]Michaela Strachan is an English television presenter, naturalist and singer.
After began her career in theatre, but ventured into presenting to front the children’s television shows Wide Awake Club and Wacaday.
Michaela told Lorraine: “It’s going to be a big challenge the last time I was on ice was four years ago when I took the kids, I’m not one of those people who holds onto the sides I guess because I was trained as a dancer I’ve got a bit of balance. I’ve always been one of those people who says yes, I’ll do that.
“I don’t think I’ll view the other celebrities as competitors as I’m one of those people who competes against themself.”

Who won Dancing On Ice 2024?
Ryan Thomas and his professional ice skater Amani Fancy were crowned the winners of Dancing on Ice 2024 on Sunday, March 10, 2024 after impressing the judges week-on-week.
The Dancing On Ice final will air on ITV and ITVX at 6.25pm on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
Ryan and Amani reached the final, battling it out against Miles Nazaire, Vanessa Bauer, Adele Roberts, and Mark Hanretty.
Ryan skated to the song “Believer” by Imagine Dragons and were awarded a perfect 40 score by the judges.
Speaking after his win, Ryan said: “I’m speechless. I just can’t… I’m so happy for Amani, because she’s put so much work into this.”
He also dedicated his trophy to Greg Rutherford, who was forced to pull out of the final due to an injury, by saying: “This one’s for you!”.
In every episode, at least one star skater must leave the show.
