What do Marketa Vondrousova’s tattoos mean?

Marketa’s tattoos have captured the attention of people all over the world since her rise to fame on the tennis circuit.

The tennis star has multiple tattoos on both arms, each one with its own meaning.

Some are meaningful, while others are purely just for aesthetics.

Above her right elbow, she has “No rain, no flowers” inked which has many fans wondering what it could mean.

The interpretation of this tattoo could mean that without struggle there is no success, or that beautiful things come from hardship.

In 2021 Marketa told reporters: “I think you know, without failure, there is no success, so you have to go through some hard matches.

“Even if you lose especially, if you keep believing in yourself and yeah, this is the reward.”

Marketa’s lucky number is 13, which she has tattooed on her and after winning a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics, she added the iconic five Olympic rings to her body art.

The Wimbledon champ said: “For me this is also art. I just like it and appreciate the people who do it. I feel like it is work and it is also art.”

Marketa got her first lot of ink when she was 16 and shows no signs of slowing down.

From photos you can count over ten smaller individual tattoos and then larger line art decorating her arms.

The Czech star has at least ten tattoos across both her arms, and even a few on her legs.
