ENGLAND are just two wins away from retaining their Women’s Euro title – but they go up against Italy in a thrilling semi-final encounter TONIGHT.
The Lionesses’ road to the semis can be described as anything but smooth.

Sarina Wiegman‘s side lost their opening Group D fixture to France before securing two commanding victories over the Netherlands and Wales.
And after battling hard to progress, England’s trophy defence looked set to end when they went two goals down in 25 minutes during their thrilling quarter-final clash against Sweden.
However, super sub Chloe Kelly provided an assist for both Lucy Bronze and Michelle Agyemang within a couple of minutes of each other, which would eventually send the nail-biting tie to penalties.
This is where the reigning champions would go on to progress from what turned out to be a chaotic shootout, with only five out of 14 penalties being converted.
Now England will be hoping to beat an Italian side who have successfully negotiated their way to a first Women’s Euro semi-final since 1997.
But should they get past this point, the Lionesses’ opponents in the final will certainly be tough.
Who could England play in Women’s Euros final if they beat Italy?
If England beat Italy and progress to the final of the Women’s Euros, they will face the winners of Germany and Spain.
The Germans beat France on penalties despite having ten women for most of the match due to Kathrin Hendrich’s senseless 13th-minute sending off.
Meanwhile, goals from Athenea del Castillo and Claudia Pina saw Spain ease past Switzerland in their quarter-final contest.
