People are only just realising easy way to get free Lindt chocolate worth £6 – anyone can get it

PEOPLE are just realising you can get Lindt chocolates worth £6 entirely for free.

Customers signed up to the MyLindt Rewards scheme can bag a host of freebies including a treat on their birthday.

Shoppers also receive a 10% welcome voucher, £5 vouchers for each £50 spent and exclusive discounts.

But some people are only just realising the chocolatier runs the loyalty scheme.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, one shopper recently shared a picture of a 200g box of Lindor chocolate they had received for their birthday.

They said: “If you’re a member of Lindt Rewards you get a box of Lindor worth £6 free on your birthday.”

The post has received dozens of likes and plenty of comments from shoppers who didn’t realise the reward scheme existed.

One said: “Nooo it was my birthday yesterday I never knew.”

Another, tagging a friend, added: “You will get these.”

The Sun has approached Lindt to find out if the birthday treat is always the same or personalised and we will update this story once we’ve heard back.

Plus, we actually found Tesco selling the same 200g box of Lindor for £4.25 online – if you’ve got a Clubcard.

How to sign up to My Lindt

You can sign up to the My Lindt scheme on Lindt’s website – it’s free to join.

You can also register in your nearest Lindt store. You can find your nearest branch on the retailer’s website.

You’ll be asked a series of personal questions including your first and last names, birthday and email address.

Once you’re signed up you’ll start receiving any offers through.

When it comes to your birthday, you’ll receive a personalised email offering up your treat in the form of a voucher which you can redeem online or in-store.

If you are redeeming the voucher in-store you have to show your digital member card as well.

It’s not just Lindt that offers customers freebies on their birthday.

Greggs offers free sweet treats every year on the special day – but you’ll have to be signed to its loyalty scheme.

Costa Coffee offers customers signed up to its rewards scheme a voucher for a cake on their birthday.

Meanwhile, Zizzi, Cafe Rouge and Las Iguanas all offer customers signed up to their loyalty schemes treats on their birthdays.
