‘This is delusional,’ say fans as Laura Anderson encourages them to ‘go into debt’ in holiday post

Laura, 34, was pictured holding a bottle as she fed her baby girl on her lap as she relaxed in her Emirates first class suite.

The former reality star soaked up the opulent surroundings as she travelled to the Middle East at the front of the plane due to an upgrade on air miles.

She also held her daughter by the first and business class bar as she took full advantage of the luxury facilities.

The former ITV2 star captioned the post: “This is your sign to use that credit card, pay it off at the end of the month, rack up those points, transfer them over to air miles and take that upgrade 🤩 Enjoy your life! 🙌🏼.

“To all my fellow cabin crew I love you, your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed ✈ Swipe to the last pic I hope it makes your day 😍 Thanks for having us sis ❤.”

Despite her encouraging remarks on saving money, many viewers took to the comments section to slam the star.

Some hinted that with current circumstances the post was tone deaf and that it is unachievable to the average person.

One user fumed: “Good for you but this is a delusional statement. I know how many miles that ticket would take and people would need to spend thousands over years to even get a one way on emirates in first class.

They added: “So stop acting as if this doable for the working class it’s not.”

A second echoed: “Agree 👍 all these celebrities posting like it’s so easy to do. Not for the working class.

“Most of us can’t even buy food let alone travel abroad and first class at that.”

As a third commented: “Encouraging people to buy expensive s*** on credit cards to live this “lux” life is a whole new level of stupid.”

Whilst a fourth noted: “‘Influencers‘ have a ton of young, impressionable followers, and so it’s worrying to see them promoting a first-class lifestyle by the use of a credit card.

“You may be savvy enough to not get yourself into debt. Others, not so much. It’s an irresponsible message.”

“That upgrade is my entire salary as a teacher,” exclaimed a fourth follower.

And a sixth added: “I know this is meant well but how could most people even comprehend using credit cards / savings when they’re struggling to pay bills, their mortgage, childcare etc.. 😢.”
