I booked a fertility doctor & weeks later I was pregnant, says Scarlett Moffatt as she opens up about battle to conceive

SCARLETT Moffatt has told how she struggled to get pregnant for so long that she booked to see a fertility expert – only to then conceive straight afterwards.

The former Gogglebox regular had son Jude with her policeman boyfriend Scott Dobinson in June but had wanted to become a mother far sooner.

She said: “I’ve been with Scott for nearly five years.

“We were trying for a long time.

“I think a lot of women do this.

“I self-diagnosed myself, like, ‘Maybe I can’t have children, because it isn’t happening . . . ”

Speaking to Giovanna Fletcher on the Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, she added: “We booked to see a fertility doctor to check to see that everything was OK.

“That was for November, and on my birthday in October I remember blowing my birthday candles out and wishing that it would happen, like, ‘I really wish that I could have a baby’.

“Then two weeks later I found out that I was pregnant.

“It was a nice feeling emailing the fertility doctor, cancelling the appointment.”

A Brit of a delay

THE Brit Awards will return on Saturday March 2 next year, two weeks later than usual.

The date was announced last night following a successful ceremony this year when it was held on a weekend for the first time.

The Brit Awards will return next March, earlier than usual

Its move from mid-February to March is believed to be due to major US events including the Super Bowl and the Grammys plus the Baftas here.

It will air live on ITV1 and ITVX from London’s O2 Arena, with the chair of the Brit committee, Damian Christian, promising: “It will be our most ambitious show yet.”

Geri’s fully booked

GERI Halliwell-Horner has sidelined the Spice Girls to concentrate on her new book series.

The Mi Chico Latino singer will release Rosie Frost And The Falcon Queen next week as part of several books about her character.

She told ScaryMommy.com about the Spice Girls: “At some point, 100 per cent there’ll be something.

“When I do some-thing, I like to keep 100 per cent focused.

“It’s like being a mother.

“So right now I’m dealing with one child, that’s Rosie.

“She deserves that attention.

“It’s like getting your kid off to university.”

Geri has written two new songs to accompany the book, Beautiful Life and Ghost In The House.

They are currently only available to listen to through the book’s website, though, so don’t expect to see her hitting No1 in the charts again any time soon.

Bling it on, Usher

USHER looked like he forgot his shirt – or maybe he was just more both-ered about the bling.

The American R&B star was on stage for the second show of his eight-night residency at intimate Paris concert venue La Seine Musicale as he dazzled in a white three-piece.

This week it was revealed Usher would headline the Super Bowl half-time show
Rex

It follows this week’s news that he will headline the Super Bowl half-time show in February, and judging from these shots he is ready for showtime.

The gig will tie in with the release of his first album in eight years, Coming Home.

So expect new new tunes as well as old.

Taylor tour to hit the cinema

TAYLOR Swift’s tour will hit cinemas before she graces our stages again – with her concert film released here next month.

The singer will not bring her The Eras Tour shows here until next summer but she has now confirmed the movie of the concerts will be screened in Odeon cinemas across the UK and Europe from October 13.

It means that thousands who missed out on tickets for her stadium shows will still get a chance to see her career-spanning concert on the big screen.

Taylor wrote on X: “The tour isn’t the only thing we’re taking worldwide . . .

“Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theatres worldwide on October 13.”

Movie tickets went on sale yesterday afternoon and the Odeon website struggled to cope with the overwhelming demand.

When the film was released in the US last month, £21million worth of tickets were sold in one day, shattering AMC cinemas’ record for the highest daily sales revenue in the company’s 103-year history.

I have no doubt she will be breaking box-office records here too.

Sugas gig is one big, big boogie

THE nation’s biggest dancefloor will officially open next week, and Sugababes are booked in for for a festive season gig.

The 15,000-capacity venue, Drumsheds, is housed in a disused warehouse in North London and will open with a disco-themed day party on October 7.

But in exciting news for pop fans, it has just announced an event for December 2 where Sugababes will appear alongside dance music stars Eliza Rose, Jamz Supernova and also Jodie Harsh.

S Club won’t stop movin’

S CLUB have enlisted the choreographer behind K-pop boyband sensation BTS to put a spring in the step of their reunion tour.

I’ve learned Danish dance guru Nicky Andersen has been hard at work in the studio with Rachel Stevens, Jo O’Meara, Tina Barrett, Bradley McIntosh and Jon lee ahead of the group’s run of arena shows next month.

S-Club have enlisted a top choreographer to help them on their upcoming tour

Nicky’s choreographer credits down the years have also included scheming routines for the Eurovision Song Contest and in movie director Guy Ritchie’s live action version of Aladdin.

The Good Times tour will kick off in Manchester on October 12, with dates around the country before S Club then travel to North America for another series of shows there.

Given that it has now been almost eight years since the group last shared a stage, there’s a lot for fans to look forward to.
