A CAN of baked beans is set to become the most expensive in the world — as it is signed by Lady In Red star Chris de Burgh.
The oft-maligned melancholic crooner, 74, gave the autographed Heinz tin to his head of merchandise as a joke gift while on tour in 2012.

The tin of beans — which cost £1.40 in supermarkets — is set to fetch at least £80.
A spokesman for Graham Budd auctions said: “Buyers will have the chance to bid on what might be the world’s most expensive can of baked beans.”
One fan said: “To eat beans from a can signed by Chris de Burgh is bucket list stuff — would certainly be cheek to cheek afterwards, too.”
But soft rock hero De Burgh’s daughter, former Miss World Rosanna Davison, 39, said: “Since they are 11 years old, I hope whoever buys them doesn’t eat them.”
She added: “Considering what’s going on in the world at the moment, it’s nice to see something fun and light-hearted.”
The auction in Wellingborough, Northants, takes place on Wednesday.
