FURIOUS I’m A Celebrity fans have insisted that they are ‘calling Ofcom’ after the final of the hit show.
Viewers watched on as Ant and Dec finally crowned the King of the Jungle 2023.
The honour went to former Made in Chelsea star turned radio host Sam Thompson who beat boxer Tony Bellew who finished in second place.
They were not the only famous faces to last the whole of the time in camp with controversial politician Nigel Farage managing to last in the jungle to bag third place.
However, this was met with a staunch amount of criticism from loyal fans of the ITV hit and threatened to make formal complaints to Ofcom as a result.
Horrified viewers insisted it was an outrage that the star made it to the final.
Reacting in shock to the news that he had made it all the way to the end, fans raged that the channel should be stripped of its broadcasting license as a result of his show placing.
Nigel beat fan favourites including This Morning star Josie Gibson, JLS singer Marvin Humes and EastEnders actress Danielle Harold into the final.
Demonstrating their fury, one fan seethed on X – formerly Twitter: “If Nigel Farage is allowed to win, then ITV should be stripped of its OFCOM licence.
“This is an outrage!”
Another quickly added: “HOW HAS NIGEL BEATEN MAN LIKE MARV??? I AINT STANDING FOR IT.”
A third wrote: “Everyone contacting OFCOM tomorrow morning complaining they let a Tory make the final.”
Before a fourth directly tweeted Ofcom, as well as Rishi Sunak and the office of the White House in the US, to beg: “Nigel has made it to the final do something!!”
Nigel’s star in camp caused controversy from the moment he was confirmed to be heading Down Under.
As well as clashes with Nella Rose and Fred Sirieix, viewers were not too fond of him being allowed to head into camp in the first place.
When his elimination was revealed on last night’s show, many fans insisted that could breath a ‘sigh of relief’ that he would not be picking up the crown with some saying that the result was “justice for Josie” who had been axed a day prior.
One fan claimed: “Thank god Nigel did not make top 2. Josie should still be their but Sam and Tony is a great top 2. SAM TO WIN! #ImACeleb.”
A second user stated: “Never forget how funny josie is #ImACeleb.”
Whilst a third said: “Brilliant final 2!! Wish Josie and Danielle was there too tho #ImACeleb.”
