More than 500 Penarth locals pocketed cash prizes between £2,632 and £10,524

The Welsh town of Penarth won the eye-watering lotto prize.

However, three residents living within CF64 3PY couldn’t believe their luck when they were given “life-changing” cheques.

One of those was Debbie, who managed to bag £620,000 because she played with two tickets.

“It’s going to be life-changing,” she said.”

Debbie plans on using her winning to jet off to the US where she’ll visit the home of the late Elvis Presley.

The lucky Brit managed to bag the whopping cash prize after she used her dad’s postcode, despite moving into her new house with her partner several years ago.

Her husband Keith, rang Debbie to tell her they were now over half a million pounds richer.

He said: “I think our lives have just changed forever.

Earlier in the week, Debbie was told she’d won at least £2,000 but she admitted that she didn’t expect to win a penny more.

The couple, who have been together for over 20 years, argued all week after Kieth was sceptical about their Lotto win.

“I still didn’t believe it even when I woke up this morning, and then I saw the [Postcode Lottery team] on my street and it all became real,” he added.

Kieth wants to splash the cash on a trip to Majorca where he plans on hiring a yacht.

The married pair weren’t the only ones to win big in the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Just a few houses along the road, Sarah and her mother-in-law Rose both won the £320,000 cash prize.

Mum of five Rose is now set to travel in style to visit her eldest son in Australia.

While Sarah, who works as a dental nurse, is looking to spend her winnings on a new house and an exotic holiday.

It comes after a gran who thought she’d only win a fiver couldn’t believe her eyes when she was handed a life-changing cheque.

And this couple thought they had been scammed when the National Lottery app said they’d won £1million.
