What does repost mean on TikTok?

On TikTok, the repost tool makes it easier for users to share the content they like with their followers.

However, content creators can only repost videos from the For You page, not videos found on someone else’s profile or TikTok Discover.

It’s a hassle-free update that saves you from having to rip or duet someone else’s video.

How to repost on TikTok

Many social media platforms, including Instagram and Twitter, have similar features that allow users to share their content with others.

Before the update, TikTok only permitted users to share videos with individual friends or group chats.

Following the addition of the repost feature, the video does not appear on your profile but your followers will still be able to watch it.

Here’s how to repost a video on TikTok:

1. Open your TikTok For You Page

2. Choose which video you want to repost

3. Click on the arrow icon in the bottom right hand corner of your selected video

4. Click on the repost button, it looks like two arrows in a yellow circle

5. If you want you can then add your own caption
