The best micro-pencils to give you full and fluffy brows

CELEBRITIES may have been rocking thin brows this summer, but they will always look better when full and fluffy.

The best way to fake them is with a micro-pencil. Today I put three to the test.

We’ve tested three micro-pencils for your brows

Budget

Revlon ColorStay Micro™ brow pencil, (£8.99, boots.com): I’m sceptical about budget brow pencils.

Most I’ve tried lack pigment and have a wax-heavy formula that’s near-impossible to blend out.

Much to my surprise, that wasn’t the case at all with Revlon’s latest launch

I had to press slightly harder than I’m used to in order to get the same level of colour.

But application is just as quick and the product blends out with the attached spoolie and it didn’t fade throughout the day.

I’ve been using it for a month and I’m still not at the end of the pencil, which is great going.

Mid-range

Refy brow pencil, (£14, refybeauty.com): The brand shot to fame with its revolutionary brow products during the pandemic.

While it is most famous for the no-budge wax-gel hybrid, this pencil is my personal favourite from the range.

Refy
Refy’s brow pencil can also double up as a sculpting lip-liner[/caption]

It is super- creamy, so doesn’t feel scratchy on skin, always looks naturally soft and is easy to blend out if you make a mistake.

It can also double up as a sculpting lip-liner.

The medium shade is spot on for my ash blonde brows.

If I had one criticism it would be that Refy could do with a few more shades in the range.

But if you think one will match your brows, I urge you to stock up now.

This is by far my favourite.

Luxury

Rodial brow pencil, (£29, rodial.com): I have no complaints about this pencil. It ticks all the boxes.

Creamy but robust enough to get the microblade-like strokes, or blend it out for a more airbrushed effect.

Rodial

The ash-brown shade is a perfect match with no auburn tinge, which is often the case with lighter pencils.

And it comes with a spoolie.

However, none of these things really set it apart from the other two I tried.

It has slightly more product than the Refy but as it is so soft, I finished it in almost the same amount of time.

A great option but not the best value for money.
