When is Black Friday 2024?
Black Friday is always marked the day after the official US Thanksgiving holiday.
Thanksgiving traditionally falls on the fourth Thursday in November, which means Black Friday should be the fourth Friday in November.
However, this year Black Friday falls on the fifth Friday of the month, which is 29 November.
Some retailers have been known to launch Black Friday deals ahead of the official date and we will likely see discounts released from the beginning of November.
Of course, there is more to the meaning of Black Friday than flash sales and discounts.
But the shopping event remains one of the biggest, and most important, retail dates in the calendar since launching over a decade ago.
What deals to expect from the M&S Black Friday 2024 sale?
Marks & Spencer doesn’t technically take part in the Black Friday sales, so there isn’t an official start date.
In previous years M&S has launched seasonal discounts on different categories that coincide with Black Friday.
We anticipate the same will happen this year, but exactly what those deals will be remains a mystery.

Traditionally Cyber Monday was seen as the final ‘online-only sale event’ closing the Black Friday season.
But over the years many retailers have chosen to launch deals in-store and online.

It’s free to order online and collect from your nearest M&S store.
Standard home delivery is free when you spend £60 or more on your order, otherwise, it costs £3.99.
If you need your order in a hurry, a nominated day or next-day delivery will cost £5.99, but you need to order before 8 pm.
M&S shoppers can also purchase flower arrangements, furniture, food, hampers and wine online, but delivery times and fees may vary.
