CHANNEL 4 has secured its own doer-upper and will bring a revamped property show to screens.
I can reveal that the broadcaster is working on a new series called The Unsellables, which will see a team pick up old homes that are failing to attract a buyer then spruce them up ready for market.
And if that sounds familiar, then you’re right.
A show with a similar format and the same title aired on BBC One in 2009, with Kirstie Allsopp’s sister Sofie and John Rennie at the helm.
But neither will be back for Channel 4’s glossy revamp.
A source told me: “Channel 4 is giving an old format a new lease of life with their new series The Unsellables.
“People with homes they are finding impossible to sell will be given the help of the experts, before putting their homes back on the market to hopefully make a sale.
“Viewers will immediately spot similarities with the BBC’s version back in the Noughties.
“Channel 4 is hoping to provide something fresh and new for viewers, with a hint of nostalgia.”
It won’t be the first time a show has found a whole new fanbase after hopping to Channel 4, who have had huge success after snapping up The Great British Bake Off from the Beeb.
The Unsellables was originally brought to British screens from HGTV across the pond, following big ratings with Canadian audiences.
It ran for a total of 20 episodes on the BBC in 2009 before it was given the axe.
Property shows remain big business on UK television, though, with Kirstie and Phil Spencer’s Location, Location, Location still wildly popular.
Let’s hope that The Unsellables proves to have the same staying power.
Joel’s a soaper star
JOEL DOMMETT unleashed his inner Instagram model as he and his wife Hannah Cooper enjoyed their staycation babymoon this week.
The couple posed for social media photos at a luxury cabin at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire.
And Joel looked to have wasted no time in kicking back as he relaxed in a bubble bath.
Model Hannah, who is expecting their first child, snapped away as the comedian scrubbed his legs in the metal tub.
The mum-to-be then stripped down for a topless shoot in a dressing gown, showing off her bump as the pair count down to the birth.
Hannah wrote to her social media fans: “Nesting.”
Joel and Hannah, who wed in Mykonos in 2019, are yet to reveal the sex of their child, but recently joked they would be giving it an apt name after The Masked Singer – which Joel presents – bagged a Bafta in May.
He said: “Both having a baby and getting a Bafta in one year is all too much, to be honest.
“I’m going to discuss calling the baby Bafta with my wife.”
“I won’t have another one until I win an Oscar.”
DEADLY 60 star Steve Backshall is heading on an adventure with Britain’s Got Talent mini eco-warrior Aneeshwar Kunchala.
He will make his CBeebies debut in Steve and Aneeshwar Go Wild, which sees the pair meet exotic animals in zoos and safari parks will air from August 14.

She had to close her mind off to it “because while we are telling a true story, we are still telling a creative story.”
The seven-parter airs from September 7.

She portrays Emily who is secretly engaged to her hedge-fund colleague, Oppenheimer star Alden Ehrenreich, in new film Fair Play – with the pair featuring in a series of steamy scenes.
