FIND A TRAIL: Start on short, easy trails to build up your confidence.

JOIN A GROUP: Women can feel more apprehensive about exploring the outdoors.
Adventure Queens is a free-to-join community for women, with 25 regional groups where you can meet like-minded people who want to explore.

GET THE GEAR: It’s important to have the right clothing and footwear for walking.
The key is to layer up, so you can adjust for different temperatures.
A base layer should help wick away sweat while an outer one should be windproof and waterproof.

FREE PINT: A refreshing drink at the pub is a great way to finish a big walk.
