Chloe Burrows set to expose celeb showmances in new TV show – as she breaks silence on romance with Netflix star

CHLOE Burrows has landed herself a documentary – exploring the world of showmances.

And the Love Island star, 28, even had a go at faking love as part of an experiment for the show.

Chloe went on a series of ‘dates’ with Too Hot To Handle hunk Harry Johnson, but it can now reveal it was all for the cameras.

The star was in fact seeing if she could get pictures of herself in the press, to see if it would led to them cashing in on interviews and brand deals, as the doc explores the true cost of being in a high-profile couple.

She told us:  “I’ve wanted to do a documentary for a while, just to explore a different avenue and I think it was really important that there was something, number one, that I had experience in so I could relate to, but then also something that was relevant and had been untold.”

Chloe picked Harry to take part because he wasn’t “too close to home” and already had a “healthy” following.

But she wasn’t prepared for just what an impact their showmance would have – and as well as ending up in the media, Harry ended up with a 18k more followers.

Chloe’s showmance with Harry was so realistic though that even her nan thought it was real.

“My nana cos, she loves the press,” Chloe told us.

“She’s 75 but she, like, she reads newspapers and checks online and she was like, who’s this man you’re with?”

Chloe, who previously had a public romance with Toby Aromolaran after meeting on Love Island, revealed that it will make her more wary in the future, knowing just how many followers someone could gain by dating her.

Asked if it was scary, she said: “I was so shocked by that, I had never thought of that – that being with someone on Love Island would give you followers but it is definitely something to consider in the future. Do you want me or do you want 18,000 followers?”

It’s not a problem for Chloe at the moment though, because she’s sworn of love.

“I’m not in the right place right now to be looking at boys and thinking about stuff like that,” she explained.

“I think in the future if I don’t have a relationship again, yeah, it’s going to blow my mind like what – 18,000 followers. Do you know how many people that is? It’s that’s like a concert.”

In the doc, Chloe will look at what life is like for some of our most well-known reality couples living out their romance in the public eye – and it features the likes of Millie Court and Liam Reardon, as well as Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey.

She is hoping the project leads to more like it – but admits she’s not sure how the public will take it, telling us: “I’m really nervous for the reaction as it’s obviously a completely new angle for me but I found making the doc so interesting so I really hope that people watching engage with it in the same way.”
